This program encompasses job-specific technical training and continuing education, technology-related training, and management, leadership and teambuilding development.
Annual Forum for Project Team Leaders: Separate annual meetings are held custom developed for project managers, superintendents and estimators. These groups are provided with the most up-to-date information to ensure that employees keep current in their specific areas of expertise. Typical topics include discussion of current issues, new programs and initiatives, idea sharing, success stories and leadership development.
Annual Forum on Safety: Safety is a top priority in all of the BE&K Building Group’s operations. Our consistently high level of safety performance is the result of the company's commitment to a comprehensive safety program.
In addition to stringent jobsite controls and procedures, the BE&K Building Group’s safety program includes classroom instruction covering such topics as injury management, lockout and confined space, scaffolding, first-aid and CPR, fall protection and evacuation.
Professional Development and Education: The BE&K Building Group’s professional development program is fully integrated into the firm's performance appraisal system and supplemented by 360° Peer Evaluation and MyAbility programs.
360° Peer Evaluation is a self-development program that measures the perceptions of co-workers against those of an individual employee and his or her supervisor. Each employee selects his or her own survey participants, and questionnaires are returned anonymously. The results provide feedback in three categories: business skills, internal communication and teamwork.
MyAbility is an intranet-based system for accessing information on the qualifications of BE&K Building Group employees in the areas of training, experience, education, career tracking and basic career planning. We maintain this database to help management determine the optimal candidates for various positions and assignments throughout the company.
Technology Training: Computer-related software training is conducted on an ongoing basis. A full-time, in-house trainer is dedicated to assisting associates at all levels.
